TRiO SSS Services
TRiO Student Support Services gives eligible UCCS students guidance, resources, and community as they work toward graduation.
Students may use TRiO SSS for academic guidance, financial literacy resources, career exploration, graduate or professional school preparation, peer connection, tutoring referrals, campus resource navigation, and planning support.
Students do not need to have every step figured out before scheduling a meeting. TRiO staff can talk through questions, review next steps, and connect students with resources that fit their goals.
TRiO Meetings & Appointments
Prospective TRiO SSS students who have submitted their application can schedule an interview with a TRiO staff member through the TRiO SSS appointment booking page.
Current TRiO Students can schedule their required TRiO staff and Peer Advocate meetings through the TRiO SSS appointment booking page.
Accepted TRiO SSS students may schedule an appointment with TRiO staff to:
Students in their 1st year with TRiO SSS - Meet for required bi-weekly meeting with TRiO SSS staff
Continuing TRiO SSS Students - Meet for required monthly meeting with TRiO SSS staff
First Year & Sophomore students - Meet for required bi-weekly meeting with TRiO SSS Peer Advocate
Create or review your academic success plan
Discuss financial literacy resources
Explore career or graduate school goals
Connect with campus resources
Begin planning for active participation in TRiO services
Final eligibility is confirmed by TRiO staff after students apply.

Academic Guidance and Planning
Work with TRiO SSS to plan your academic path and take confident steps toward graduation. We help you explore your goals, strengthen study strategies, prepare for advising conversations, and work in partnership with Academic Advising to help you understand degree requirements and plan your next steps.
Financial Literacy Resources
Build the knowledge and skills to make informed financial decisions during college and beyond. TRiO SSS can help you explore budgeting, scholarships, and planning for future education costs. We partner with the UCCS Financial Aid Office, the university’s primary source for financial aid information, to connect you with accurate guidance about FAFSA, financial aid eligibility, awards, and your financial aid account.
Career Exploration and Preparation
Explore your career interests and connect your academic choices to future opportunities. TRiO SSS works with the T. Rowe Price Career and Innovation Center to help you explore career goals, prepare for internships and job searches, strengthen resumes and interview skills, and plan your next professional steps.
Graduate and Professional School Preparation
Thinking about continuing your education after earning your bachelor’s degree? TRiO SSS works with the UCCS Graduate School to help you explore graduate and professional programs, understand application processes, identify resources, and prepare for your next educational step.
Peer Connection and Student Community
Find your community and build meaningful connections at UCCS. Through TRiO SSS and our partnerships with Student Life and Leadership and MOSAIC, you can connect with peers, participate in workshops and events, discover opportunities to get involved, and build a stronger sense of belonging on campus.
Tutoring and Academic Support
Build your academic skills and get support when you need it. TRiO SSS works with the Excel Centers to connect you with tutoring, subject-specific academic assistance, study strategies, and other resources that can help you succeed in your courses.
Disability Services and Academic Access
Access and accommodations are an important part of student success. TRiO SSS works in partnership with Disability Services to help students understand and connect with accessibility resources. Disability Services works directly with students on disability-related accommodations and the accommodation process.
Campus Resource Navigation
You don’t have to figure out UCCS resources on your own. TRiO SSS works across campus to help you identify the people, offices, services, and opportunities that can support your goals. Bring us your questions, and we’ll help you navigate your options and make meaningful connections across the UCCS community.
Workshops, Events, and Programming
TRiO SSS offers workshops, events, and programming designed to support academic progress, financial literacy, career exploration, graduate school preparation, campus connection, and student success.
