TRiO Student Support Services at UCCS
TRiO Student Support Services, also known as TRiO SSS, is a federally funded UCCS program for eligible undergraduate students working toward graduation.
TRiO SSS provides students guidance, resources, and community as they navigate college, build academic plans, connect with campus resources, explore career and graduate school opportunities, and work toward degree completion. Students do not need to have every step figured out before reaching out. TRiO SSS gives eligible students a place to ask questions, understand options, and build a clearer path toward graduation.
If you are a first-generation student, receive a pell grant as part of your financial aid package, or are a student with a documented disability, you may be eligible for the TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) program.
UCCS TRiO Student Support Services is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 academic year (beginning Fall 2026).
You May Be Eligible for TRiO SSS
Students may be eligible for TRiO Student Support Services if they meet at least one of the following criteria:

Final eligibility is confirmed by TRiO staff after students apply.

How TRiO Supports Student Success
TRiO Student Support Services gives eligible students a consistent place to ask questions, build a plan, and connect with campus resources as they work toward graduation.
Students may use TRiO SSS for academic guidance, financial literacy resources, career exploration, graduate or professional school preparation, peer connection, tutoring referrals, and support navigating UCCS services.
TRiO SSS is not only for students who are struggling. It is also for eligible students who want structure, direction, accountability, and a clearer path toward their goals.
For Faculty, Staff, and Campus Partners
Faculty, staff, advisors, and campus partners play an important role in helping students find TRiO SSS. Students may not always know which resource to ask for first, and a warm referral can make the next step feel easier.
Campus partners can refer students privately by sharing the TRiO SSS website, encouraging students to learn more, or directing them to Main Hall, Rooms 316 & 318.
A simple referral can sound like:
“TRiO SSS may be a good resource for you. TRiO SSS staff can talk through next steps with you privately.”
Please do not confirm eligibility, promise of acceptance, collect documentation, or ask students private eligibility questions in public. Final eligibility is confirmed by TRiO SSS staff after students apply.
